My overall experience with this dealership was terrible. I purchased a used 2008 toyota highlander. i called to make an appointment to see car. After traveling 45 minutes to the dealership, I was told the car had been sold that afternoon. i left angry. i got a phone call 10 minutes after i left saying the car was still on the lot if i wanted to look at it. i was already on my way home so i didnt go back. I went back to see the car the next day. The salesmen were nice. I test drove the car and decided to purchase. I had the car for three weeks and it started to smell a little musty. I went to get the car washed and got all new mats for the floors. The smell remained. i took out the new mats to see if the rug was wet from the car wash. It was. i pushed down on the carpet and there was a puddle under the front passenger carpeting from a leak coming from the outside. I called the dealership and spoke to the sales manager Mike Smith. He said i could take the car there and get it checked out but it would not be covered under my dealer warranty. (60 days or 2000 miles 100% parts 100% labor) i was within limits but Mike said this would not be covered nor did he believe the problem was his problem. I brought the car to my mechanic and he told me the front window glass had been replaced at some point. This was not in the carfax. I told Mike what the problem was to see if he would fix it but his answer was still NO. He sold me a car that leaks and he wont fix it. Not the customer service i expect from a reputable dealer. They act more like a chop shop. This LEAK was the major problem i had with this dealership. I wasn't going to write a bad review at first. Even when they sold me a car with TWO RECALLS on it. I only found out when i went to get a second key made up. (they only had one when i bought the car) $377 later. For a key. I wish i would have had them make me one. They never offered a second key. I didn't think much of it until i saw the bill for the key. I can deal with the key and i will get the recalls fixed. I can't deal with being sold a defective car and nothing being done by Honda of Freehold to remedy this problem. Bad Business.

The experience was terrific. The price of the vehicle and respect of DJ Wilson for me as a customer was greatly appreciated. The dealership was very transparent and answered all my questions about the lease and car. They located the color car I wanted within a week. DJ Wilson went above and beyond in helping us secure the car that we wanted as a gift for our daughters college graduation. We had limited time and special cirumstances which made our purchase very complex. DJ spent many hours working with our circumstances and knew how to navigate the waters to arrange a deal that would work for us. DJ was extremely professional and we truly appreciated and valued his vast knowledge about all areas of the car business. We have two other daughters and when it is time to buy their cars, there is no question that we will go back to Honda for all of our future car needs. Honda Freehold and DJ Wilson are the "A" team!!

I came to the dealership looking for my first new vehicle. right away a sales associate was ready to help. DJ Wison came over introduced himself and asked what I was interested in. He gave me the personal attention a customer deserves. He was there every step of the way through the entire purchase. I think DJ adds tremendous value to this establishment and there should be more sales associates like him. I did purchase a new vehicle. Three days later DJ took the time to call me to see how everything was doing which was great. My father is even in the process of buying a new vehicle from him too.

Our Sales Person, Chris Chrepta offered a low pressure buying experience. He provided us with all of the options and was very kind and attentive. Everyone that we dealt with was friendly and knowledgable. Honda of Freehold has all of the characteristics of a great dealership. However, the whole buying process was very frustrating and painfully SLOW! There has got to be a better way that they run customers through their dealership! The system is all wrong. This is not our first time buying a vehicle from a dealership. Everything took *HOURS* longer than it should have. For this reason alone, we will not be recommending Honda of Freehold to anyone.
